Buy pink grapefruit (Star Ruby)

The grapefruit is a citrus fruit known by its bitterness.

One of the most special characteristics it´s the fact that it’s a hybrid, since it is the result of the combination of the orange tree and the chinese grapefruit.

This variety belongs to the Rutaceae family and the tree is called Citrus paradisi.

They are bigger than standard oranges and present a more yellowish and reddish  colour on the outside, due to the lycopene, a natural substance that is also present on tomatoes which offers multiple health benefits.
