Buddha’s hand lemon

The Buddha’s hand lemon has its origin in China and in the northwest of India.

It´s name comes from the fact that this lemon variety looks like the praying hand of Buddha, with the long fingers.

Today this citrus is used in the fine kitchen due to its intense smell and flavour. Its smell is very special, like a mixture between lemon and azahar (the flower of the orange tree).

The taste can be sweet or bitter and it does not contain any juice on its inside.
